Stacey David, Education Director
Stacey David has been the Education Director at COS-SJCC since
1998. Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, Stacey was
educated within day schools, summer camps and youth groups.
During her college years Stacey lived and studied in Israel,
where she learned about the culture and developed fluency in
Hebrew. Returning to the states, Stacey graduated from CUNY
Hunter College and Tel Aviv University with a Bachelor's degree
in Hebraic Studies, followed by a Master's degree in Early and

Zionist Youth Foundation where she was the coordinator of special
events and programs including the Summer Shlichim Program and
Salute to Israel Parade. Simultaneously, Stacey held positions at
synagogues as a religious school teacher and later as director.
Since she began her position with COS-SJCC Stacey has pioneered and launched many new programs and exciting, innovative projects for the children and families. She has implemented new curricula and methods of teaching, hired progressive and well-learned teachers, and has elevated the religious school significantly and importantly within the community. Under her leadership the religious school has grown and become a welcoming, enriching experience for the families.
