Bar/Bat Mitzvah … the B Mitzvah celebration, emphasizes teaching our children to become participants in Jewish life. Young adults participate in this rite of passage beginning a lifelong process of exploring Jewish wisdom, and being part of a community. One year prior to the B Mitzvah, students begin weekly, individual tutoring with the Rabbi and Cantor. Four months before B date, each student will write their D’var Torah and plan their mitzvah project.
Our 8-10th Grades
Count Me In. Our post B Mitzvah classes challenge our teens to tackle the really important questions in their lives. It introduces our teens to how the wisdom of our sages can help answer important questions. Over the centuries, others who were searching for the truth asked the same questions. Among these seekers were the ancient Rabbis – their teachings help us figure out how to take care of ourselves, get along with others, and live with integrity.
Meet Sundays from 10:00-12:00PM
Our 11&12th Grades
Graduates of our Confirmation class are invited to be a part of our teen staff. The more you learn, the better you can use Jewish wisdom to strengthen yourself and others and make the world a better place.
